Taylor Farms recalls jalapeno products over salmonella concerns
The briefing
Taylor Fresh Foods is voluntarily recalling products containing jalapenos over possible salmonella contamination, after supplier Coast Citrus Distributors recalled fresh jalapeños. Guacamole, pico de gallo and taco dip are among the prepared foods affected, distributed in multiple states with "Best If Used By" dates through Aug. 16 and sold at Kroger, Target, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and Walmart. The company says a grower in Sinaloa, Mexico, was identified as the potential source and that it is not aware of any illnesses linked to its products.
