Chelan sewer lift station site to become Lake Chelan viewing plaza

The briefing

The former site of Chelan's Lift Station No. 1 will become a viewing plaza overlooking Lake Chelan, with construction starting in September. Chelan County PUD earmarked $750,000 for benches, lighting, an accessible ramp and event electrical amenities, targeting completion by Memorial Day 2027. The plaza is a byproduct of the city's $3.5 million upgrade converting its largest sewer lift station to a submersible pump station.
