'One Night Only' is a tease, but its stars score
The briefing
An Associated Press review finds "One Night Only" dresses up as a raunchy sex comedy but plays as a chaste rom-com. The premise, that premarital sex is illegal except for one 12-hour night a year, goes largely unexplored by director Will Gluck in favor of a tame romantic tale. Leads Monica Barbaro and Callum Turner keep it watchable, and the film is an especially welcome showcase for Barbaro; it earns two stars out of four.
