AppleSox advance to North Division championship

The Wenatchee AppleSox swept the Kelowna Falcons in their best-of-three North Division playoff series, winning 9-0 on the road Friday and 8-3 at home Saturday. Mitch Haythorn earned Friday's win over six innings with six strikeouts as Wenatchee scored nine runs on 13 hits. The 41-13 club, which had clinched both half-season division titles and the league's best record, advanced to host the North Division championship.
