Chelan County to receive state school funds; Construction begins on Jones and Jones Funeral Home; Douglas County Park Board chairwoman elected

In 1911, Chelan County received $7,235 from state school funds and a rail extension up the Chumstick was contracted to tap the Red Mountain mines. In 1961 construction began on a $30,000 remodel at Jones and Jones Funeral Home, and in 1986 Jean Smith was elected chairwoman of the Douglas County Park Board.
