RiverCom 911 moves forward with $6.1M contract for new facility

RiverCom 911's board approved entering contract negotiations with Cashmere-based Rimmer and Roeter Construction on a $6.1 million bid for its new Olds Station facility. The bid was the lowest of seven but higher than anticipated, pushing the overall project budget from about $15.1 million to $16.3 million. Emergency dispatch centers must be built to Risk Category IV standards with hardened walls and reinforced foundations, and RiverCom expects to occupy the building by December 2027.
