The Wenatchee City Council votes Thursday on whether to appoint Police Chief Edgar Reinfeld as the city's permanent administrator. The vote would end a year-long search after Laura Gloria left the role in August 2025, with Mayor Mike Poirier saying the two outside finalists were not the right fit. Both cities adopted an interlocal agreement for East Wenatchee Chief Rick Johnson to oversee both police departments as Reinfeld departs.
