Third Job Theatre's 'Macbeth' brings bloody ambition, murder and a little B-movie mayhem to Icicle Creek's Meadow Stage
The briefing
Third Job Theatre opens "The Tragedy of Macbeth" Aug. 28-29 on the Meadow Stage at Icicle Creek Center for the Arts, staged through the lens of a 1990s slasher film. Director Cameron Curtis and star JJ Hernandez turn the banquet into a house party complete with beer pong and work a chainsaw into the production. The 18-person cast handled much of its own costuming, and the outdoor setting lets performers enter through the audience as darkness falls.
