NCW firefighters battle multiple brush fires

Firefighters responded to several brush fires across Chelan and Douglas counties over the weekend as thunderstorms brought lightning and strong winds. Chelan Fire and Rescue handled three fires, including lightning-caused blazes in the Echo Valley area and near Washington Creek Road, while a tractor spark started a 15-acre fire near Mansfield. A Sunday fire near Robinson Lane in the 25 Mile Creek area threatened about seven structures before crews stopped it.
