Woman dies in Highway 17 crash after crossing into oncoming traffic

A 26-year-old Othello woman, Jessica Detwiler, died following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 17 near Warden on Monday evening. According to the Washington State Patrol, Detwiler’s vehicle crossed the centerline into oncoming traffic and struck a Sorento head-on. The driver of the second vehicle was transported by Lifeflight with injuries, while the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
