Douglas County Prosecutor announces resignation due to ‘health reasons’

Douglas County Prosecutor Sean Lewis announced Monday that he will resign at the end of September due to health reasons. Lewis was appointed to finish his predecessor's term in July 2025 and is running unopposed in this year's general election. Douglas County Commissioners will begin a selection process to appoint an interim attorney for the remainder of the year.
