Cancer Support Community ramps up help for patients, families

Formerly known as Wellness Place, the Cancer Support Community of Central Washington has rebranded and affiliated with a larger national network to better serve cancer patients and their families. Executive Director Marissa Collins highlights the organization's expansion of support groups, education, and physical activities tailored to rural communities. To help rebuild its coffers and sustain these free services, the organization is hosting its Central Washington Cancer Heroes fundraiser on Sept. 11 at the Wenatchee Convention Center.
