44 years later, Wenatchee-area adventurers revisit journey into the Canadian Arctic
The briefing
Forty-four years after paddling more than 600 miles through the remote Canadian Arctic, Wenatchee resident Ralph Mack and four of his former expedition teammates are reuniting. The group’s historic 1981 journey down the Kazan River in Nunavut is the subject of the Wenatchee Valley Museum and Cultural Center’s upcoming Film & Lecture Series presentation on Sept. 10 at The Grove at Wenatchee Valley College. The event highlights their incredible wilderness adventure, digitized photographs, and the deep bonds forged during the five-week trip.
