Chelan County PUD eyes $2.1M Malaga property for future substation

The Chelan County PUD plans to purchase an 8.15-acre Malaga property for $2.1 million to build a future substation to support upper Stemilt Creek customers. PUD officials estimate the substation will be needed within five to 10 years, contingent on growth. Commissioners are scheduled to vote on the purchase at their next meeting on Sept. 21.
