Chelan City Council appoints Dan Boon to fill vacant seat

The briefing

The Chelan City Council appointed former police chief Dan Boon to Council Position 1 during its September 23 meeting, filling the vacancy left by Terry Sanders. Council members highlighted Boon's extensive law enforcement background as an asset for upcoming budget discussions. Because Sanders resigned with 14 months remaining on his term, Boon must run in the November election to retain the seat.
