Bike program rides onward despite bike theft

The briefing

Following the overnight theft of 18 bicycles intended for an after-school program, CAFE and the Sustainable Bike Co-Op quickly mobilized to rebuild remaining inventory with community support. The state-funded bike education program, operating in its second year in Wenatchee, provides underserved students with safety instruction, mechanical skills, and ownership of a bike they build themselves. Organizers praised the community's swift response and look forward to meeting their goal of reaching 100 student participants this year.
