Dan Wilson out as manager of the Seattle Mariners after disappointing season

The briefing

Dan Wilson will not return as manager of the Seattle Mariners next season following a disappointing 76-86 finish. The announcement came after the team won its final game of the year, failing to meet expectations after reaching the ALCS last year. President of Baseball Operations Jerry Dipoto and chairman John Stanton expressed gratitude for Wilson's leadership and noted ongoing discussions about potential future roles within the organization.
