Sunset Avenue improvements, pedestrian bridge project delayed

The Wenatchee City Council approved construction contracts and consultant agreements during its Sept. 24 meeting, including an award for pedestrian improvements on Sunset Avenue. City engineers announced delays to the South Wenatchee Pedestrian Project's helical ramp and lighting system, pushing the completion date to fall 2027. Additional funds and consultant contracts were authorized to address utility relocations and extra staff hours.
