Moses Lake bans kratom sales for those under 21

The city of Moses Lake implemented a ban on selling Kratom products to individuals under the age of 21, effective Oct. 2. Violations of the ordinance carry fines ranging from $1,030 for a first offense up to $5,000 for subsequent violations. Other area municipalities are also considering similar restrictions due to health concerns associated with the herbal substance.
