2 Coulee City artists turn a fearful ranch horse into children’s book ‘Cowboy Up, Peanut!’

The briefing

Author SaDonna Heathman and illustrator Don Nutt of Coulee City have collaborated on a new children's book titled 'Cowboy Up, Peanut!' inspired by Heathman's real-life ranch horse who was terrified of cows and shadows. The story explores themes of fear, imagination, and courage through watercolor artwork and whimsical storytelling. The book marks a major publishing milestone for Heathman's Gallop Books and coincides with Nutt's longtime annual art sale.
