Chelan City Council favors in-house plan for golf course over outside management

The briefing

Following proposals from golf management firms, the Chelan City Council directed staff to focus on an in-house business plan for the Lake Chelan Golf Course rather than hiring a third-party manager. While outside proposals promised increased revenue, council members expressed concern over potential staff cuts, wage reductions, and loss of municipal control.
